Do you buy 'Made in USA' products? I can't tell you how many times I have clicked on a post while scrolling social media, only to find out shipping times are 6-8 weeks and there's NO brick and mortar location or contact info other than an 800# or an email. It sure looks like an American company, but is it really?
When shopping for your holiday gifts this season, please consider shopping with someone you know, supporting a local business or spending the time to ensure the store is really selling products 'Made in USA'. Now more than ever, small businesses in America need your support and are counting on a rockin' holiday season just to make ends meet. To say this year was financially tough for the littles, is an understatement. According to the latest small business statistics, 1. Over one-third of small businesses in the U.S. are currently not operational 2. Over 70 percent of US small businesses shut down in March 3. More than 60 percent of these small businesses that closed were due to government or health authority orders, due to the pandemic of 2020. I urge you to take your time shopping this season. Buy gifts with meaning and buy them from shops you know or shops in your community. Just hoping on Etsy or Amazon handmade doesn't fulfill my plea either so don't think you're off the hook that easy! Being part of the handmade business community, I find myself struggling with sellers who purchase large lots of goods from China and then re-sell them here in America. Yes, they are Americans doing business in America... but really? What are your thoughts on this? I'd really like to know... Thank you for shopping small! #shopsmall #shoplocal #knowtheowner For purchase options on any of my featured gifts above - which are Made in Michigan -, click here --> https://www.etsy.com/shop/SeashellsandLemons
