![]() I remember when my daughter started her new job at Target during her teenage years. I was so impressed when she received a card in the mail that welcomed her to the Target family. While employed she continued to receive snail mailed cards that recognized her for a job well done. The small tokens of kindness are remembered. Even by the parents, years later! I hope all businesses realize the value of their employees and also take initiative to make them feel welcomed and appreciated. Whether you are a small business or a consultant who just signed on a new team member - I've designed some cards for you to send them! Trust me, the small gestures goes a LONG way. Either grab a bunch and mail yourself or order right from my website and I will personalize it with your message and mail direct to their house. So here we all are on the 21st of March, quarantined to our homes. While I am quite disturbed by the crisis going on in America and around the world, I don't mind spending the day in my craft room. Social distancing just gives me an excuse to spend the day by myself. :) I used some photos I took while on vacation and turned them into sketches for ya'll to color. My good friend Debbie shouted the idea and I ran with it! So the question of the day is... cabin or beach? Which do you dream of? Free download below. Color and let me see what you come up with! ![]()

In an effort to connect with others during this time of 'social distancing' - I offered a challenge via social media. "I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU: I created the picture below using clipart (royalty free clipart) and that’s because I have zero ability to draw. Challenge: If you have the talent to draw and you think you can create a better picture than I did - I challenge you to do so. If you send me a VERY CLEAN jpg of your drawing, I will offer it as a free printable download so others can enjoy bringing it to life with color. #quarantinegift NOTE: The drawing must be yours. Draw anything you want - just keep it black and white so others can color it. And keep it clean people... 😂 I am desperately trying to get my step father Dave Iannuzzi to draw for me but it’s becoming quite the effort to keep begging. So I am reaching out to all ya’ll for help so I can continue giving away my free printables while we’re all stuck inside. No stamped images are allowed because they are all copyrighted by the company who made the stamp. 😮 Message me if you want to take on the challenge!" Guess what??? One of my awesome friends from Connecticut - messaged me with an AWESOME picture that she would like to contribute to my continued efforts to offer free coloring printables! I am so excited that someone wants to take part with me! Lena (Olena Zabolotska) is an amazingly talented artist. She is one of those beautiful humans from the inside out, who can create art out of anything at all. When we were neighbors, she collected rocks from our beach and made adorable figurine animals from the rocks. She also painted a wood sailboat scene on driftwood and gave it to us as a going away gift. It still sits on our mantle today. Anyway, this wonderfully talented woman thinks the idea of sharing something that might help someone else - is a good idea. She is offering her first piece of art here, for you to download for free. Thank you LENA!!! Download below. ![]()
Today I mailed out 32 quarantine gifts. I printed the free downloads and sent them with blank greeting cards and envelopes. The amount of anxiety I feel, like so many others, is more than my brain can comprehend right now and I heard that if you do something for someone else or find a way to give back during times of need - it reduces that stress. It worked. It made me happy to put those 32 envelopes in the mail. It doesn't change what's going on around me, but it allowed me time to decompress for a minute and think about what's really important to me - and that is and has always been - making people smile. Hope these gifts bring many smiles. With the happy mail that was put in my outgoing box, I slipped a thank you card for my postal carrier. Told her that although I can't go out and visit anyone - the ability to mail gifts has brought me joy and I couldn't do that without her. Hoping it made her smile too! Here is today's FREE quarantine download. Enjoy! (and share your pics! I want to see!!) ![]()
Ok ya'll - I'm on a roll. Here's number 3 in the series of #quarantinecoloring for ya! It's my little way of giving what I can to help those I can with what little I've got. I'm stuck at home like many are... so this is my way of keeping creative and offering something to others. Today's coloring greeting card features a grasshopper and her butterfly friends!
Hi Ya'll. Today was quite a day! I bet most of you can relate. Work was crazy busy, staff is fearful and unsure what the workplace future holds, kids are on edge, news reports keep coming, more COVID-19 cases are showing up, and we are meant to keep it all together. HA! This is how I keep it together - my downtime consists of mindless coloring. Shut it all down and create some art. Bring some color to a black and white image. Happy! Here's today's FREE downloadable image. Print, color and show me what you can create! Let's stay connected! Tag me on insta and let me see your work! @seashellsandlemons
