It's mid April and we've already got a camping trip in for the year!  This is a first! Back home in Upstate New York, Spring is just peeking through the snow and no one will shovel out their camping gear to head out until the end of May.  We found a few campgrounds in Connecticut that are actually open year round.

Mystic KOA

Our stay at the Mystic KOA was relaxing and quite peaceful. Too early in the season for a campground full of kids and it was on and off raining over the weekend so that kept many campers tucked inside their RV's.  Of course this didn't bother me any - I had crafting to do!

This weekend's project was using the One Scoop at a Time workshop from Close to my Heart.  I added my own spin to the workshop directions because I didn't have all the necessary tools at camp to create the exact cards they have pictured.

This One Scoop at a Time workshop creates 12 cards and costs $20.95, which is just under $1.75 per card. Now that's a great price for a handmade card!
The kit includes:
1 – exclusive workshop stamp set (B-size)
2 – cardstock patterned paper - Something Fierce sheets
3 – cardstock sheets (1 Lemon, 1 Raspberry, 1 White Daisy)
1 – Silver Glitter Gems (Z4191)
12 – white card bases & envelopes
printed instructions
Additional supplies needed:
Lemon Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad (Z2808)
Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad (Z2805)
Raspberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad (Z2812)

Darker colored cardstock paper for the background matte
Tombow or your tape runner
Scissors

Thanks again Mystic KOA for a great weekend!  We can't wait to return!

We all want to have a hobby, a hobby that is filled with activities that will trickle our minds to extend to its full capacity. I want to copy the activities that are being suggested here and I want to do these activities with my brother. In this way I will not feel the loneliness that I feel, there will be happiness all over the corner of the camp and I will always do this every week. I am grateful that I have read this post. This is such a great post to read to my family.
