Life gets stale. It gets mundane with work and responsibilities.  We get stuck.

Taking an adventure doesn't need to be a plane trip or an overnight stay. My favorite trips are the low budget day trips where I can explore something new.

Getting out of the house changes my attitude and my chemistry. Nature heals me. Day trips on a dime can change your life.  They changed mine.

Reasons to set a goal to take one adventure once a month:
  • Depression
  • Financial struggles
  • Boredom
  • Inspiration
  • Relationships

Having goals and something to look forward to is an important piece of the life puzzle. I made a deal with my daughter that she take one adventure every month and the next adventure needed to be planned before that month's adventure began.  It's a good way to stick to it. Especially when you have a demanding job, demanding family and financial responsibilities that keep you close to home. It's easy to see six months go by before you realize you haven't left the house for any reason other than for the demands of that responsibility.

Well - now that we are planner addicts, I have found a way to incorporate my love for an adventure a month into my planner so those memories can be saved and relived all year long.

Stay tuned for our monthly adventures!
