As a Mom, there is one thing that I continually preach to my two daughters.  It isn't that they be responsible or respectful, or do the right thing and be kind everyday - honestly, my girls don't need reminding of that. I'm a very proud mom.  But what I preach to them regularly is that they reserve time from their busy scheduled life to get out into nature and have themselves an adventure.  At least one adventure a month is what I preach. My own life experience has proven to me how important and valuable it is to appreciate and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer... not to mention all the healing properties of fresh air and sunshine.

For my daughter's birthday, I made her a monthly {coffee table} size scrapbook to keep her adventures in. I made it simple enough to just add her photos and write a few notes about that particular adventure and then move on to the next month.  Hopefully this helps get her OUT THE DOOR!
