For those like me who are avid scrapbookers - I've created some pocket cards that highlight key dates of the pandemicso you can add your photos and journaling about this historic time in our lives for the children and grandchildren to read about.

Thanks and stay safe all!

In Quarantine - Do you Dream of the Beach or the Cabin?

So here we all are on the 21st of March, quarantined to our homes.  While I am quite disturbed by the crisis going on in America and around the world, I don't mind spending the day in my craft room. Social distancing just gives me an excuse to spend the day by myself. :)

I used some photos I took while on vacation and turned them into sketches for ya'll to color.  My good friend Debbie shouted the idea and I ran with it!

So the question of the day is...  cabin or beach?  Which do you dream of?

Free download below.

Color and let me see what you come up with!

My Social Distancing Challenge ACCEPTED - FREE printable for YOU!

In an effort to connect with others during this time of 'social distancing' - I offered a challenge via social media.

"I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU:
I created the picture below using clipart (royalty free clipart) and that’s because I have zero ability to draw.
Challenge: If you have the talent to draw and you think you can create a better picture than I did - I challenge you to do so. If you send me a VERY CLEAN jpg of your drawing, I will offer it as a free printable download so others can enjoy bringing it to life with color. #quarantinegift
NOTE: The drawing must be yours. Draw anything you want - just keep it black and white so others can color it. And keep it clean people... 😂
I am desperately trying to get my step father Dave Iannuzzi to draw for me but it’s becoming quite the effort to keep begging. So I am reaching out to all ya’ll for help so I can continue giving away my free printables while we’re all stuck inside.
No stamped images are allowed because they are all copyrighted by the company who made the stamp. 😮
Message me if you want to take on the challenge!"

Guess what???  One of my awesome friends from Connecticut - messaged me with an AWESOME picture that she would like to contribute to my continued efforts to offer free coloring printables!  I am so excited that someone wants to take part with me!

Lena (Olena Zabolotska) is an amazingly talented artist. She is one of those beautiful humans from the inside out, who can create art out of anything at all.  When we were neighbors, she collected rocks from our beach and made adorable figurine animals from the rocks.  She also painted a wood sailboat scene on driftwood and gave it to us as a going away gift.  It still sits on our mantle today.  Anyway, this wonderfully talented woman thinks the idea of sharing something that might help someone else - is a good idea.  She is offering her first piece of art here, for you to download for free.

Thank you LENA!!!

Bee Happy with this FREE Quarantine Printable Greeting Card

Today I mailed out 32 quarantine gifts.  I printed the free downloads and sent them with blank greeting cards and envelopes.  The amount of anxiety I feel, like so many others, is more than my brain can comprehend right now and I heard that if you do something for someone else or find a way to give back during times of need - it reduces that stress.  It worked.  It made me happy to put those 32 envelopes in the mail. It doesn't change what's going on around me, but it allowed me time to decompress for a minute and think about what's really important to me - and that is and has always been - making people smile.  Hope these gifts bring many smiles.

With the happy mail that was put in my outgoing box, I slipped a thank you card for my postal carrier. Told her that although I can't go out and visit anyone - the ability to mail gifts has brought me joy and I couldn't do that without her. Hoping it made her smile too!

Here is today's FREE quarantine download. Enjoy!  (and share your pics! I want to see!!)

Hi Ya'll.
Today was quite a day! I bet most of you can relate. Work was crazy busy, staff is fearful and unsure what the workplace future holds, kids are on edge, news reports keep coming, more COVID-19 cases are showing up, and we are meant to keep it all together. HA!

This is how I keep it together - my downtime consists of mindless coloring. Shut it all down and create some art. Bring some color to a black and white image. Happy!

Here's today's FREE downloadable image.  Print, color and show me what you can create!  Let's stay connected!

Tag me on insta and let me see your work! @seashellsandlemons

FREE Greeting Card-Try Coloring to de-stress during Social Distancing

3/16/2020

I am an introvert by nature. I love people and social gatherings but I also thrive when I am alone, doing my own thing. That said, as soon as I heard 'quarantine' or 'social distancing' from family, friends, neighbors - I was in a panic.  Maybe I just don't like being told what to do? Regardless, during this virus mess - I agree with the need for everyone to limit interactions with others and just stay home - so I find myself needing to add tasks to my plate that help de-stress my mind.  For me - that includes coloring!

I created two PRINT-AT-HOME greeting cards and I would like to offer them to you or your kids.

Simply print using 2 pieces of cardstock - and color.

Get creative and please share your art - I would love to stay connected during this time when we are all so far apart. Share at www.facebook.com/seashellsandlemons

Happy quarantine all!

Pocket Scrapbooking Your Monthly Adventures

3/6/2020

As a Mom, there is one thing that I continually preach to my two daughters.  It isn't that they be responsible or respectful, or do the right thing and be kind everyday - honestly, my girls don't need reminding of that. I'm a very proud mom.  But what I preach to them regularly is that they reserve time from their busy scheduled life to get out into nature and have themselves an adventure.  At least one adventure a month is what I preach. My own life experience has proven to me how important and valuable it is to appreciate and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer... not to mention all the healing properties of fresh air and sunshine.

For my daughter's birthday, I made her a monthly {coffee table} size scrapbook to keep her adventures in. I made it simple enough to just add her photos and write a few notes about that particular adventure and then move on to the next month.  Hopefully this helps get her OUT THE DOOR!

I used to have sticky notes all over my craft room. Sticky notes filled with dimensions of all the projects I worked on over the years.  It got messy. So I organized myself with a custom CRAFT RECIPE book!

I use a Close to my Heart Everyday Life binder with the matching memory protector pages.  Those items along with my custom craft recipe pages and I'm quite organized now!

The Everyday Life albums come in black and sapphire as of right now, though that may change.  Albums measure 9 ⅜" × 8¼" × 1½"; 1" 3-ring.

The memory protectors measure 6x8".

Get both items here -->

Most of the projects that I post will have a downloadable recipe card that offers pictures and a link of where to find the video.  You can save it on your pinterest page if you prefer, but for me - I need to have it in my craft recipe book along side the personal handwritten notes and instructions.

Blank Craft Recipe pages (grid style) are here for free if you would like to download them.  They are free for all - but if you do download, kindly leave me a note in the comments below. Thanks!

Print them at actual size.
