THE STORY:
In a tough moment, I asked a question on my personal social media page. I asked 'DESCRIBE ME IN ONE WORD'.
I wrote nothing else and let it sit for 3 days.
After 3 days, I commented on that post under the many kind comments I received. I explained to my friends and family that we can be our own worst critic so although I have no interest in anyone's opinion of me - I do desire to see myself through the eyes of another when my own self talk becomes critical and negative. This wasn't about needing an ego boost, this was a mental health project to work on the healing of my mind and soul.
After completion of the project, I contemplated putting post it notes on my bathroom mirror of all the words but then thought I'd like to keep these words and this healing project for much longer than the life span of a post it. So the subway style art was created.
